Site Rules
These rules apply to every EDX account and to anyone using the tools and content on this site. They exist to keep the platform useful, safe, and free for everyone. If you use EDX, you are expected to know them.
1. Use the tools for learning and defence only
- The tools on this site are educational. Only use them against systems you own, or ones you have clear written permission to test.
- Do not use any tool to attack, scan, probe, or disrupt EDX itself, its users, or any system you do not have authorisation over.
- Do not use the OSINT, network, or analysis tools to track, stalk, or harass a person.
- No illegal activity of any kind. This includes attempting to breach, bypass, or disrupt the sites security, accounts, or backend.
2. Accounts
- One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, bans, or rate limits.
- Keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Do not share, sell, trade, or offer your account to anyone.
- Usernames must not impersonate staff, contain hate speech, or be designed to mislead others.
3. Conduct
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeted abuse toward anyone, including staff.
- No doxxing. Do not post or request personal information about other people.
- No spam, advertising, self-promotion, or flooding of any EDX service, including the support chat.
- Do not impersonate EDX staff or claim to represent the platform.
- Do not submit false or abusive reports through the support system.
4. Content and scripts
- Scripts and code from the library are provided for education. You use them at your own risk and are responsible for staying within the law.
- Do not attempt to sell, rebrand, or republish EDX content as your own.
Enforcement
Breaking these rules can result in a warning, a restriction on your account, or a permanent ban, depending on how serious the breach is and whether it was deliberate. Serious violations, such as attacks on the platform or threats toward others, are banned on the first offence.
If you believe you were banned unfairly, you can submit an appeal from the ban page. Appeals are reviewed by staff, and one appeal per restriction is considered.
These rules may be updated as the platform grows. Changes are effective as soon as they are posted here. If something is not covered by these rules, that does not automatically make it allowed. Use judgement, and if you are unsure whether something breaks the rules, ask staff through the support chat first.
